Congratulations! Those are great schools. All have their strengths, but I would probably choose UVA first and Michigan second. Economics is the third most popular major at UVA so the school devotes a lot of resources towards that program. They have some famous professors too, like Kenneth Elzinga who has a lot of experience in U.S. anti-trust law (which will probably become a more common subject in the next 10-15 years). One additional benefit of UVA is that you're in the same state as George Mason University, which is another great school for economics, and is where Tyler Cowen teaches. Tyler Cowen is one of the most interesting economists in America today.

Michigan is the "higher ranked" economics program according to U.S. News, but I encourage you to consider UVA because I think the location will be better and I would say it's the same quality or better. Michigan also has some famous professors like Justin Wolfers, and UNC also has a great program and is located in the "research triangle" with Duke and North Carolina State.

Whichever you choose, good luck! If you have any other questions about school you can add me on WeChat: DanCWU or message me here on Zhihu.
